My Daughter’s Natural Hair Is Beautiful
Nia-Marie and Amber-Jade the loves of my life.
I love my babies- can you tell. As young girls growing up, I would always say to them ”You can not relax your hair until you are 18 and then I pray you don’t”. Guest what- they never did. They understood the endless possibilites they had with natural- unprocessed hair. What other texture can go from Afro to curly to straight and back again to an Afro; the best of all worlds. Nia’s natural hair is very fine- she understood that if she relaxed her hair it would appear thin . Amber loves to wear her hair curly. She understood that once relaxed, she could kiss her natural curls good-bye. I really did do something right. Love ya girls- my shinning examples of living with the endless possibilities of natural hair. DHB.

I also have natural hair & I love it! Never had a relaxer, never will. I admit that sometimes I have fantasies of looking like Beyonce, but I always come back to my senses. A la natural works for me.
Who doesn’t. You know my look a like fantasy is Janet Jackson. I relaxed my hair once-upon-a-time over 25 years ago and haven’t relaxed it since. I love, love, love my natural hair. I love the way it feels, wears and sass it has when it is uncooperative. It is the only way to be to experience true freedom- afro, straight, curly and back to afro. What more could you ask for!
i thought it was too cool that your daughter’s name was spelled Almost like mine. mine is Nia-Marii god bless
It is cool how close the names are. God Bless you as well. Nia means purpose and my Aunts name is Marie. I combined the names to make one beautiful name for a beautiful daughter.
My daughter and I have recently locked our hair. We love the texture and the versatility that it gives us. Oh My Heavenly Hair products makes my hair feel like soft wool, or for lack of a better word; Heaven. Natural hair rocks!
