Debra Hare-Bey is a Celebrity Stylist with over a decade of hair care experience and product knowledge. She is the CEO and Brand Director of all things OH MY HEAVENLY Hair Inc. A Glamorously Natural Lifestyle Brand & Salon. She is the former proprietor of the historic Red Creative Art Concept Studio. Licensed Cosmetologist. Master Braider. In 2007, Debra developed a line of natural beauty products based on the philosophy of Ayurveda. In 2008 she opened the first Oh My Heavenly Hair store, went Green and expanded her natural line to include vegan and organic ingredients. In 2011 Debra further expanded her company by reclassifying it as a glamorously natural lifestyle brand, shortened the name to OMhh Inc. and moved to the chicest section of Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, Feb 2012. Debra celebrated an official grand opening for The OMhh Store and Red Room Luxe Salon @ OMhh. October 2016 The OMhh Store moves to historic Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn broadens the vision and changes the name to better facilitate the brands direction. OMhh Beauty Oasis is born and for the first time, Debra headlines her mastery of natural hair under Debra Hare-Bey Private Parlour @OMhh Beauty Oasis (Intimate. Posh. ExclusivelyNaturalHair. Expert). Debra celebrated her official grand opening November 2016 and opened February 2016.

Debra is committed to consistently raising the bar of professional natural hair care as she bridges the gap between beautiful, healthy and natural. Always the dedicated professional, Debra was one of a four women initiative instrumental in changing the Cosmetology law in NY. The law was changed to include Natural Hair Styling as a viable option for licensed stylists. The new law opened the door for many that did not want to work with chemicals. It was a major accomplishment for African-American women, Braiders and natural hair enthusiast. As a result of the new law, Debra is a proctor for the New York State Board of Cosmetology Natural Hair Styling Exam. Additionally, Debra worked as a consultant to cosmetic companies aiding in product development, consumer outreach services, and forecasting trends. 2016 Debra is asked to join the board of EMERGE Natural Beauty Industry Alliance (Empowering Multicultural Economic Resources & Generational Excellence).
As the former Associate Editor of Braids & Beauty Magazine, Debra was a strong supporter of professional natural hair care. Debra used her columns to address important issues, provide accurate hair care information and create a standard by which all other magazines were judged. Braids & Beauty magazine was the first of its kind with the most anticipated pictorial, step by step/how to stories and hair care information. Debra Hare-Bey was the first and only Associate Editor of B & B Magazine. Debra continues to support professional natural hair care as an advocate connecting healthy mind, body and spirit to healthy hair. As an advocate, it is very important to Debra to leave a rich legacy. As a natural hair advocate, Debra understands the connection between overall good health and healthy hair. She uses the health connection to entice women to maintain health through their desire to have beautiful healthy hair. In 2015 Debra was asked to join the Globeathon NYC Task Force To End Women’s Cancer. Debra created Professional Natural Hair Stylist Health Initiative- Globeathon NYC Taskforce Member. A call To action to assist Globeathon to End Women’s Cancer by fostering public awareness and education about gynecological Cancer through professional natural hair stylist, their clients and the natural hair community at large.
